This Special Anniversary Honda Monkey is Shiny and Chrome

Did you know that 2025 marks an entire 60 years since Honda first landed in Thailand? Me neither, but now we both do thanks to the Honda New Monkey Chrome Legacy special edition, which was just announced by Cub House Honda in Thailand.

It's full of both joy and pride at celebrating the 60th anniversary of one of the most popular motorcycle manufacturers in the world. There's the chrome finish on the tank and body panels, of course, but further design cues hark back to the history of both Honda and its inimitable Monkeys.

You get a logo that incorporates the vintage Honda wing logo, along with two little silver monkeys that draw a very specific line back to the first Monkey in 1967, when it was only 49cc. The seat has a vintage black leather cover, along with stainless steel studs around the base that serve as distinctive decorations for this bike.

As Honda sometimes does with some of its special editions (sadly, usually not those sold in the US market), there's also a special limited edition helmet that's been made to go along with this bike. It bears the same logo as the Chrome Legacy Monkey, complete with dual monkey emblems and a little bit of fancy 60th Anniversary script.

Each of these Chrome Legacy Monkeys will be numbered, and will have a special serial number plaque that is unique to each bike. This bike was introduced at the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show, which runs through April 6, 2025. That's an important date if you want to get your hands on the Chrome Legacy Monkey, because it will only be available through that date. If you're interested, you'll need to stop at any Cub House location throughout Thailand to place your order before the time is up.

The MSRP for the Chrome Legacy Monkey is ฿ 117,000, which works out to US $3,445 at the time of writing.
